In the training video, a young woman — decked out with a short blond bob and a thick headband — raps everything you could ever need to learn how to properly serve cold drinks in a Wendy’s restaurant.
“Drinks. Cold. Are you ready? Here we go,” she sings. The video features intense overlays and bright white saturation that was a near-standard of the era. Aside from the aesthetic of the video itself, the actual music practically screams that it came from the ’90s. It’s got everything we love about the decade aural stylings: a drum loop, an electronic synth, rhythmic lyrics. It’s a true ’90s soundscape. Maybe the best part, though, is that the lyrics are actually pretty informative. You can learn a lot about the procedures and roles that Wendy’s employees had to take up during that decade. “Use the scoop to fill the ice, never use the cup take my advice,” the actress sings. Later adding, “Tilt the cup against the lever.
